Each hole at World Tour is accompanied by a plaque explaining the original course and the moment in history it commemorates, turning the round into a journey through the game's most storied chapters. The 15-stall practice facility, complete with a separate 410-yard practice hole, is among the best warm-up facilities in the area — and the clubhouse is stocked with memorabilia that extends the experience off the course.
For golfers who have spent years watching the Masters and the Open Championship and wondered what it might feel like to stand over those shots, World Tour offers a genuine answer. It is not a substitute for Augusta or St Andrews, but it is far more than a tribute — it is one of Myrtle Beach's most original and enduringly popular rounds of golf.
4 things worth knowing before your round — from tee selection to where to eat when you're done.
01
Course Character & Design
World Tour is one of a kind in Myrtle Beach, and genuinely rare anywhere: 27 holes of replica golf inspired by the world's most famous layouts, housed in a 25,000-square-foot antebellum clubhouse with a magnolia-lined driveway. The Championship Nine replicates famous holes from Augusta National (including an Amen Corner replica and Nelson's Bridge), TPC Sawgrass, and other major venues; the Open Nine replicates British Open venues including a replica of St. Andrews 18th complete with Swilcan Bridge.
02
Signature Holes
The Augusta National replicas are the centerpiece, four holes from Amen Corner, including the par-3 12th over Rae's Creek and the par-5 13th with a replica of Nelson's Bridge, are as close as most golfers will ever get to playing Augusta. The Open Nine's St. Andrews 18th replica, featuring its own Swilcan Bridge used by Arnold Palmer in a 1995 British Open farewell tribute, is the emotional high point of any round here.
03
Course Conditions
MiniVerde Bermuda greens are among the premium putting surfaces in the Myrtle Beach market, the same grass used at TPC Sawgrass and East Lake CC. Each hole features large bronze historical plaques detailing the original course history, and 2,000 azaleas are planted annually along the Augusta replica holes to mirror the spring Masters aesthetic.
04
Before You Play
Tee times are limited intentionally to avoid overcrowding, book well in advance, especially for spring and fall visits when the azaleas on the Augusta holes are at their best. The Personal Ambassador service from gate to first tee and the 'Passport' stamped at check-in are genuine touches that make this feel like an event rather than a round of golf. Sports Illustrated gave World Tour an 8.5 out of 10, and Golf Digest has named the pro shop a Top 100 Golf Shop five consecutive years.
