Signature Holes

The par-5 9th is River's Edge's defining hole: the tee shot plays toward a downhill-sloping fairway that feeds toward the marsh, and the approach follows the riverbank for a finale that combines risk, scenery, and strategic pressure in equal measure. The 6th hole sits atop bluffs with a two-mile view over grassy marshlands, one of the most dramatic single vistas in Myrtle Beach golf.

Sunday UltraDwarf Bermuda greens are among the premium putting surfaces on the Grand Strand, rolling true and recovering well from heavy traffic. With 10 forced carries and a slope rating of 149 from the tips, one of the highest in the Lowcountry, the course demands that greens be in good shape to justify the aerial approach game it requires.

Before You Play

The 149 slope rating from the tips is serious, River's Edge is one of the most demanding courses in the region, and recreational golfers should play the middle tees to enjoy the layout without being overwhelmed by the 10 forced carries. The river-view holes are the main event; take time to appreciate the bluff views on the 6th rather than rushing through them.
